Our Mission

To be a worldwide fellowship of persons of all faiths working together in mutual respect and affection, based on the teaching of Jesus Christ, and with common loyalty to the Young Men’s Christian Association.

To strive through active service to develop, encourage and provide leadership to build a better world for all mankind.

To provide support to the Burbank Community YMCA Annual Fundraising Campaign.

To gain better International understanding through our programs.

Our Character

Originally founded as a “service club”, Y’s Men is more than that. We do serve, but we are specifically oriented to leadership and service within the YMCA and the communities it serves. You could become involved in anything from day camping to anti-drug problems. You decide what your priorities are in your community and then act on them. Y’s Men target the problems at hand – not the problems that might be facing a community 1,000 miles distant. Sure, we are concerned about world problems, but Y’s Men are first concerned about specific problems of the local community.

Our Direction

Y’s Men reflect the original concept of the YMCA – people concerned about fellow human beings. Y’s Men receive continuing orientation in all YMCA programs. Our desire to alleviate human crisis helps people make the Y a great community servant meeting urgent human need. Each Y’s Men Club provides the potential for greater international understanding because it is linked with clubs around the world in an increasing fellowship.
