Camps

Enroll your child in a Y camp program they’ll never forget! We have the perfect camp for your child, with camps ranging from Pre-Kindergarten through Middle School. Camp, like many Y programs, is about learning skills, developing character and making friends. Few environments are as special as camp, where kids become a community as they learn both how to be more independent and how to contribute to a group as they engage in physical, social and educational activities. Camp teaches self-reliance, a love for nature and the outdoors, and the development of attitudes and practices that build character and leadership—all amidst the fun of field trips, camp songs, outdoor games, swimming, talent shows, and meaningful relationships. Y counselors are dedicated to making sure camp is an amazing experience for every camper by providing an atmosphere for campers where they can develop a variety of satisfying skills and relationships. Interested in developing leadership skills and learning to work with children? The Y has a great opportunity for you‚

Our Counselor-In-Training program (CIT) for those who have completed 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade. This summer-long (June through August) program is designed to train prospective staff members for employment at the Burbank Community YMCA's Summer Day Camp. The experience looks great on college applications and is also an impressive addition to resumes for those looking to join the work force right after high school.
