• Responsible for providing high quality coaching to all program participants.
• Responsible for utilizing Burbank Community YMCA’s curriculum in planning lessons for each class.
• Responsible for teaching in a safe, progressive manner to ensure safety at every stage of learning.
• Responsible for instilling the YMCA’s 4 core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in all aspects of coaching, dealing with parents and fellow staff.
• Responsible for taking attendance for each class.
• Responsible for implementing Skill Evaluations and preparing skill cards for all progressive level students every 12 weeks to ensure skill progression.
• Responsible for following all department specific and overall YMCA safety procedures.

• Basic CPR/First Aid certification.
• Prior gymnastics coaching experience preferred
• Strong communication skills.
• Effective planning and organization of gymnastic progressions and skills.
• Proven ability to maintain good working relationships with a wide variety of people and groups, including staff and volunteers.
• Ability to follow policies regarding our gymnastics program.
• Ability to participate in staff meetings.
• Excellent interpersonal and teaching skills for coaching children ages 5 yrs to 12 yrs.
