• Responsible for maintaining all current required licenses and certifications and carrying while on duty.
• Responsible for safety and supervision of all children while entering the van, in transit and exiting the van.
• Responsible for knowing assigned routes, schedules and passengers for each day.
• Responsible for maintaining correct emergency contact information for all children in the program.
• Operation of vehicle as per YMCA, state, and federal transportation policies and being knowledgeable of these policies.
• Responsible for ensuring the passengers know the rules for riding in the vehicle and enforcing those rules.
• Responsible for daily maintenance of vehicles, including interior cleanliness, fluid and fuel levels, documented pre-operation vehicle inspection, etc.
• Alerting Transportation Coordinator of upcoming deadlines/vehicle related expirations (i.e. registration, insurance, first aid supplies, fire extinguisher, etc.)

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be a High School Graduate or have GED.
• Must have a Class B license.
• Must have or be willing to get current First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Must have DMV (H-6) printout dated with the past 30 days of application.
• Must have the ability to accept supervision.
• Must be able to interact appropriately and positively with children grades K-8.
• Must have a Youth Bus Certification or be willing to obtain certification.
