Membership Policies

The Burbank Community YMCA is a charitable, non-profit organization committed to helping individuals to grow healthier in spirit, mind and body, and to develop a sense of responsibility to each other and their community.

YMCA members receive the following benefits as part of their membership:

• Support
  We have created a caring and supportive environment designed to help you get started and stick with your new healthy lifestyle.  You will be able to meet with a healthy lifestyles counselor and develop a program that is specific to your schedule and health goals.  And, through advanced technology, you will be able to track your progress, communicate with staff and achieve your goals efficiently.
  
• Classes and Equipment
  We have over forty group exercise classes, in addition to aquatics, boxing, racquetball, basketball and indoor cycling.  We believe this wide variety of classes will help you reach your fitness goals in a fun and motivating environment.  Whether you’re just beginning or highly advanced, the Burbank Community YMCA has a workout class to suit you.
  
  Child Activities
  We offer Child Watch, which is a complimentary babysitting service for parents to use while they work out. We also offer opportunities for the family to workout together. And, we also have an array of Youth classes for children, including a specially designed Youth Fitness Center for children 8-14.
• Membership Categories
  At present, we offer Family, Adult and Student memberships. These membership types provides access to our cardio and strength rooms, pools, group exercise classes, indoor cycling and other specialized program areas. ;In addition, for Family Membership types, priority on-line registration is available, reduced rates on fee based classes and access to other youth activities, like ballet and martial arts.  For more detailed information on pricing, please visit us at our Member Services office.
• Financial Assistance
  We never turn anyone away for their inability to pay for membership.  Financial assistance is available, based on household income. All YMCA members receive the same membership benefits, whether or not they have financial assistance. Apply for financial assistance is easy and confidential.
