REACH & RISE

A Reach & Rise Spotlight

Reach & Rise is a 1:1 therapeutic mentoring program that matches adult volunteer mentors (age 23+) with young people (ages 7-17).

Mentors are background checked and trained by our Director in Cognitive Behavioral Skills & Techniques to assist them in providing coping skills and a safe environment for youth. Mentors meet with mentees once each week to discuss issues occurring in the youth's life while engaging in enriching activities in the community. These carefully curated matches go to museums, parks, aquariums, etc.!

Youth can be referred from schools, counselors, parents, family friends and other YMCA programs.

Stephanie Shaw, Director of Mentorship, is our on-site YMCA social worker. She provides ongoing mentor support, family support, and case management to all program participants.

For more information about the program or how you can become a mentor, please contact the Director of Mentorship.
