WELCOME BACK!  

We’re excited to welcome swimmers back into our pools for water safety swim lessons, private and semi-private lessons.

Certified instructors will be wearing face shields and following all health and safety guidelines to keep swimmers and their families safe.

POOL SAFETY PROTOCOLS:

If you have had any of the following symptoms in the past 10 days, please stay home:

  • Fever (at or over 100.4ºF or 38ºC)
  • Chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath/difficulty breathing
  • New loss of taste or smell

Please also stay home if:

  • You are subject to a quarantine or isolation order
  • You have come into contact with an individual who has tested positive for covid-19 within the past 10 days

Face coverings are required to be worn by all families (including children 2 years & older) at all times. Swim Instructors and Lifeguards are required to wear a facemask/ face shields at all times when teaching their lessons.

Only one parent/guardian per child in the facility.

Everyone will need to maintain at least 6 feet distance from each other with the exception of family members who share the same household.

Students are encouraged to arrive and leave the swim facility wearing their swimsuit.

Swim lessons will be spaced out (6 feet or more) in the pool or 1 swimmer per lane.

Safe distanced seating will be available on the pool deck in selected areas.

Locker rooms are closed. Restrooms will be available for use, but we ask to maintain social distancing upon entering and exiting the restrooms.

If and when a swim lesson is cancelled, Aquatics Director will reach out to all swimmers via email and issue a system credit for the lesson.

PARENT & ME

Ages: 6-36 months with Adult

Ratio: 5:1

Water Exploration: Parents will work with their children to explore body positions, floating, blowing bubbles and fundamental safety and aquatic skills.                                        

LEVEL 1: WATER ACCLIMATION

Ages: 3-5 years
Ratio: 4:1

Students will develop comfort with under water exploration and learn to safely enter and exit the pool. Students will also focus on body position and control, directional change and forward movement in the water. Submerge underwater and bob with assistance.

LEVEL 2: WATER MOVEMENT

Ages: 3-5 years
Ratio: 4:1

Students will continue to focus on body position and control. Submerge under water comfortably and reach for object independently. Introduction to kicks on kickboard.

LEVEL 3: WATER STAMINA

Ages: 5-12 years
Ratio: 5:1

Students learn how to swim to safety from a longer distance. This stage also introduces rhythmic breathing and integrated arm and leg action. Introduction to diving and treading water.

LEVEL 4: STROKE INTRODUCTION

Ages: 5-12 years
Ratio: 5:1

Students will develop stroke technique in front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke kick and butterfly kick. Water safety is reinforced though treading water and elementary backstroke.

LEVEL 5: STROKE DEVELOPMENT

Ages: 6-12 years
Ratio: 5:1

Students will work on stroke technique and swimming drills.
Introduction to breaststroke, butterfly and introduction to flip turns.

LEVEL 6: STROKE MECHANICS

Ages: 6-12 years
Ratio: 5:1

Students will refine technique and endurance on all major competitive strokes. Learn about competitive swimming and discover how to incorporate swimming into a healthy lifestyle.
